It started with a perfume that didn't exist.
I spent years looking for a scent that felt like me, and I never found it. Everything smelled expensive or smelled like everyone else. So I made my own.
Maison Carthia began in a small Montréal atelier with one idea: a fragrance should feel personal. It should hold a memory. Ours carry the Mediterranean I grew up loving, the orange trees, the sea air, the long evenings.

Composed with a master perfumer in Djerba.
Every Carthia scent is built with our master perfumer on the island of Djerba, off the coast of Tunisia. He has spent a lifetime around raw materials and knows what a few drops of real oud or fresh orange blossom can do to a formula.
We send ideas back and forth for months. Nothing leaves his bench until it smells right.

Our atelier sits in Westmount, Montréal. We mix, fill, seal, and pack every order ourselves, in small batches.
The perfumes are Extrait de Parfum, up to 30% concentrated oil, which is why a little stays with you through the day. When your bottle arrives, it passed through our hands first.
